Switch
to Onroute

Onroute is field service management with the paperwork built in.

Here is the case for moving your jobs across, and what the move involves.

What’s changing

The job has changed. The tools mostly haven’t.

Ten years ago an electrical job was a survey, a fit and an invoice. The same job now carries a certificate with test results, a DNO notification where it is needed, a building-control notification for notifiable work, and often a grant claim. On top of that, the customer expects to book, pay and sign from their phone.

A tool that stops at the invoice leaves that second half to you. The certificate is a PDF you attach, the DNO is an email someone remembers to send, and the grant claim lives in a folder on a laptop. The office holds it together, and the office is the bottleneck.

Introducing Onroute

Onroute runs the whole job, paperwork included

Onroute is where installers run their jobs: the enquiry, the quote, the diary, the visit, the invoice and the payment. The engineer app works with no signal, and invoices land in Xero.

On top sit country-specific compliance modules. For a UK job, the certificate, the DNO notification and the building-control notification are filled in from photos and test results taken once, on site, and sent off where the job needs them. The grant claim is assembled from the same evidence, ready to submit. Built for EV charging, solar, battery and heat pump jobs, the same modules cover any electrical job.

Installation businesses have run on Onroute since 2016, from one van to national fleets.

Why switch?

Paperwork done on the job, not after it

Your engineer takes the photos and the test results once. The certificate, the notification and the claim are filled in from the same evidence. If something is missing they hear about it while they are still on site, not three weeks later from an auditor.

The office stops chasing. The DNO and scheme deadlines sit on the job, and a clock on each of them is coming soon. The handover pack compiles itself when the job is signed off. Everything the job produced stays on the job, not in a camera roll and three inboxes.

“The platform’s intuitive design has significantly improved our team’s efficiency, allowing us to better track and manage every stage of the customer journey. This, in turn, has led to higher customer satisfaction and smoother project execution.”

Every engineer’s day is a sensible run

Onroute picks the right engineer and the tightest date for every job, and keeps the whole day a sensible run. Skills, hours, travel and what’s already booked are all respected. When someone cancels, reshuffle and carry on.

Your customer can pick their own date, but only from days that already fit one of your engineers’ runs. No phone tag, no double-booking, no ‘can we move it to Tuesday?’

Work across company lines stays on one job

Pass overflow to a trusted subbie, or take work from a manufacturer or a fleet programme. Each of you sees the job in your own Onroute, the customer’s link carries the brand the job came under, and receiving a job is free.

For a growing firm that means bigger contracts without a bigger office. For a national provider it means one standard across employed engineers and subcontractors, with a record of who did what, and when.

“Onroute has consistently supported our business by serving as the ideal middle company, seamlessly bridging the gap between suppliers, installers, and clients. Whether it’s coordinating with the DNO, a self-certification provider, or the end client, Onroute has simplified the entire process for us.”
