From our business to yours

I know every business that uses Onroute Intelligence. Not as a name on a dashboard, I actually know them, the people behind them and what they’re trying to build, and they use Onroute Intelligence to run their business. You’ll see some platforms shouting about how many installers they’ve signed up, and signing them up is easy when you’re giving it away, getting them to actually use it is another thing. I’d rather know every one of ours by name. A lot of them ring me, and often it isn’t about the software at all. Sometimes they’ve had a busy week and just want a chat about something other than work, and honestly, I’m glad they call.
You’re not a ticket number
Size has nothing to do with it, we’re a big business too, and we work with enterprise businesses as well as family firms. What matters is who comes first. With a lot of field service management software you ring a number, join a queue, and by the time you get through you’re explaining your business to someone new all over again. Or you find out the good support is a “premium” extra you pay through the nose for. And when a company is run for its shareholders, the decisions about your price and your support get made in a boardroom by people who have never met you.
Everyone who joins our team, now or years from now, needs to know one thing: your business is our number one priority. Why? Because it’s yours. When you call us, you get someone who knows who you are and actually wants to hear how it’s going, and nobody pays extra for that. If you run a family business, you’ll know what that’s worth, because when your name is over the door, every job matters.
Every penny goes back in
I’ve got three kids, so I know all about juggling work and home. Every penny Onroute Intelligence makes pays our team and goes straight back into the business, into the product and into the people who look after you. It doesn’t disappear off to an investor waiting for their return. That’s not an accident, it’s a decision.
It’s also why I get family businesses. When you’ve got people at home relying on you and a team relying on you at work, you don’t make decisions for show. You spend where it makes a difference and you look after your people, because in the end your reputation is the business.
Mental health support for tradespeople, built into the app
Caring about your business means caring about the people in it, and in the trades people don’t always find it easy to say how they’re really doing. The Office for National Statistics found that men working in skilled trades had a 35% higher risk of suicide than the average for men in England. So we built Circuit Breaker.
It’s a button in the Onroute Intelligence app, and one tap takes you to people who can help, like Samaritans, Shout, the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity and the Electrical Industries Charity, along with advice from the NHS website on things like stress, low mood and money worries. It doesn’t ask you anything and it doesn’t record that you’ve pressed it. It’s just there for the moment someone needs it, whether that’s you or someone on your team.
We launched it this November, supporting Movember, but it isn’t a campaign that disappears in December. It stays in the app for good.
Choosing job management software, from family firms to enterprise
Tradespeople are some of the hardest working people this country has, and that means they deserve software that takes the scheduling, paperwork and compliance headaches away, rather than adding to them. Whether you’re a family firm with a couple of vans or an enterprise with hundreds of engineers in the field, the features matter, but so does who’s behind them. Ask who you’ll actually speak to when something goes wrong, and who the company really answers to. It’s your money and your name on the van, so you deserve straight answers.
If you want to know what that looks like at Onroute Intelligence, call me. I mean it. Whether you’re thinking about switching or you’ve just had one of those weeks, my door’s open. Call us on 0330 043 9859, email me at emma@onrouteintelligence.ai, or find me on LinkedIn.
